A few weeks ago I spent an enjoyable week in Chicago with a few photography girlfriends. We spent most of our time photographing the architecture of the city. One big discovery was the views from rooftop patios and bars.
One afternoon we went on one of the riverboat tours down the Chicago River. The moving boat compelled me to take images like this one.
We really enjoyed taking in all of the art at the Chicago Art Institute. I found one of the curved ceilings down a side hallway created interesting multiple exposure images

The Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago has a beautiful staircase. To be honest, this staircase was so interesting, I hardly spent any time enjoying the art.

My favorite building may have been Aqua, a 82 story building designed by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang Architects. So far, this is my favorite image of the week. I am looking straight up towards the sky. This point of view hides all of the metal railings of the hundreds of apartment balconies.
The image on the left is another view of the building along with a cityscape in a nearby neighborhood.

As we walked through the Federal Plaza, we came across the Flamingo. This is a 53 foot tall, 50 ton sculpture by Alexander Calder that is vermilion red in colour. By using the multiple exposure technique, my version seems to have acquired a few more colours.
As usual I am always interested in what you think
