Since childhood, I have had a compelling pull to the landscape of Namibia, at that time known as South-West Africa. As an eager and bright-eyed child, I had no idea where this landscape was in the world, but it took seeing only one photograph of the orange sand dunes of Sossusvlei, to feel a deep connection to this majestic environment. Several decades later, I found out where this magnificent landscape was located and was finally able to visit.

Since that first visit, I have had the opportunity to return a few times. With each visit the emotional calmness of this environment deepens within me. During my most recent visit I wanted to capture how this I see this environment filtered through an abstracted perspective. This collection of images is the result of that exploration.
